Improvement Of Future Elementary School Teachers’ Professional Training

The article deals with the content and importance of forming future primary school teachers’ professional competence. The necessity of using technological and competence-based approaches to the professional training of teachers in the context of student-centered educational process in higher pedagogical schools of Ukraine is proved. The author identifies the major conditions of the modern school aimed at approaching the standards of European educational space. A key objective of training primary school teachers is developing their professional competence. The structure of pedagogical activity with its various components and learning technologies in higher education are analyzed. Requirements for training are justified and the model of developing future primary school teachers’ professional competence due to society growing needs is revealed.
